ToDent scalers are suitable for removing tartar or calculus (and plaque) to a pocket depth of 3 mm. In deeper pockets there is a big chance the sharp point of the scaler damages the surrounding gum. The ToDent 204S scaler is specifically designed for tartar removal around the premolars and molars. It is safer and more efficient than the H6/7 scaler for subgingival removal of tartar in the posterior area.
